What is retipping and why is it important?

The valuable diamonds and gemstones in your jewelry are held in place with prongs. With wear, the tops of these prongs can become worn down. After the prong tips become worn down, the stone becomes at risk of falling out of the mounting. Retipping is the process of adding a small amount of metal (usually gold or platinum) to the top of worn down prongs to keep the gemstone secure. With our advanced laser welder we are able to retip prongs next to any gemstones without removing them, saving you time and money.

If your gemstone is loose at all we recommend to stop wearing it immediately and bring it in for us to tighten the prongs and retip the prongs if needed. Loosing a gemstone can be very costly. An inexpensive measure of protection is to bring your jewelry every 6 months for inspection to a jeweler to check if all gemstones are secure.

Ring Resizing

Has your ring become too tight or too loose? We can resize your ring on site and while you wait and watch. Wearing a ring that is too tight can be dangerous to your fingers blood circulation so don't wait to have it resized. A ring too loose can potentially slip off and get lost, don't risk it!

We ADD gold or platinum to all of our resizing jobs. We never stretch your ring to a larger size because it will thin out the metal and make it weaker.
Why is my White Gold turning yellow or dull in color?
What is Rhodium Plating?

White Gold jewelry needs to be re-rhodium plated every 2 years. Rhodium is a member of the Platinum family of metals, but it is actually whiter and harder than platinum. Rhodium plating produces a bright white finish on the jewelry. Some alloys of white gold naturally have a more yellow tint to them, so they require regular rhodium plating to keep looking white. Yellow Gold can also be rhodium plated to turn it to White Gold if you want to restyle your jewelry.
Are you Missing Diamonds or Gemstones?
A gemstone fell out of my ring, will the new stone match the old one?

We get this problem all the time. We will replace your lost stone and make your jewelry look new again. Matching stones takes a discerning eye, attention to detail, extensive gemological training, and years of experience. Your jewelry that you love can look just the way it used to again by simply bring it to us to repair it.

Has your knuckle gotten larger due to age?

If your unable to get your ring on and off your finger due to your knuckle getting larger from age it can be a dangerous and require a jeweler to cut the ring off. Don't resize your ring and make it too large for your finger, it will slide around and not sit comfortably. We offer adjustable shanks that open and close to allow the user to wear their ring comfortably.
